The web and communications team
The web and communications team makes sure our website is fun and gets people interested in children’s rights. Members spread the word about the project, and make sure everything we write is easy to understand.

During school time, my citizenship teacher, asked me to get involved with the ‘Get Ready For Geneva’ scheme, as she thought I would be interested. Then in the post I received a letter saying I had not got through, but their was asked if I wanted to take part with the website development team and I quickly got in touch as I really wanted to do this. After emailing many times I got to be on the website development team.

I got involved with Get ready for Geneva because I thought it would be a great opportunity to work with new people. I wanted to make new friends at the same time. I am very glad that I got chosen to take part in the project.

I wanted to be part this project as it helps young adults from across the UK. I believed that CRAE would make a difference through its work and I jumped at the chance of helping. I think this would be a good opportunity to learn more about young adults and children’s views on our society today.
David
The reason I got involved in Get ready for Geneva is I am very passionate about children and young people’s rights. I think that the UK should be doing more to promote the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child to show that children and young people do have rights. I heard about the project through my youth forum.
Dom
Joining the Geneva project means that I can have the chance to make a greater difference for young people, as well as fighting for their rights. I’m also member of the UK Youth Parliament which means that I am really interested in matters that are faced by young people.

I wanted to be involved in Get ready for Geneva so that I could find out more about children’s rights as well as raising awareness about the difficult lives that some children lead. I hope to make a difference to children without education, freedom and all the other rights some children don’t have. I am sure the project will be a great success.

Hi, I’m Kirrun! I heard about Get ready for Geneva through the CRAE’s young peoples' panel and it sounded very interesting. Also, I think this will be a fantastic opportunity to try and improve lives for young people in the UK, so I decided to get involved.
Laura
I got involved with CRAE, by chance and it is the best thing that could have ever happened! Children's Rights are really important to all young people... That is why i believe being part of such an amazing group we can make change happen to help young people across the UK...

I wanted to join the web and communications team because I like using the internet and playing games. I like reading newspapers, especially the sports sections and reading about human rights. As a member of my school council, I speak up for children – on issues that affect the pupils in my school.
Rakhee
I got involved in Get ready for Geneva because I’m interested in websites, art, writing articles for organisations and for young people and designing newsletters. I feel that young people should have a say in issues, which affect them, and I hope that the Geneva project will help me do that.
Rick
I joined the Get ready for Geneva project as I thought it was a great way to get my views about what involves me heard on a higher level, I’ve also found that it is a great way to meet new people and make some fantastic new friends.
Sehreen
I’ve been involved in CRAE for over a year and met some great people. This project seemed like a great opportunity to make more friends, whilst learning more abut children’s rights and teaching others about it too.
