The Government sends its report to the UN

On Sunday, the Government sent its five-year progress report to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child. This report tells the UN what progress the Government thinks it has made in putting children’s rights into practice in England and throughout the UK.

CRAE thinks that the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child will be disappointed with this report as CRAE has identified more than 40 instances of where the Government has failed to protect and promote children’s rights and best interests.

CRAE will be working on a translation of the Government’s report over the next few weeks. We’ll post it to the Get ready for change! site as soon as it’s finished. In the meantime, you can download the Government’s report here [PDF 823KB]
